2011. aastal on Tallinn Euroopa kultuuripealinn ning terve Eesti tantsijad on haaratud kümnetesse suurematesse ja väiksematesse ettevõtmistesse alates tantsupeost kuni väiksemate kaasaegse tantsu projektideni.
Uppsar annab kõigesse sellesse oma panuse. Ideid on palju, kõigist neist on veel vara rääkida. Kindlasti osaleme esimest korda tantsupeol, mille üldjuht on Märt Agu. Praegu otsime kontakti teiste maade folktantsugruppidega, et alustada koostööd, mis peaks lavale jõudma sügisel.
Tõotab tulla põnev ja seiklusterohke aasta, kus tantsulusti saab kogeda küll ja küll!

In 2011 Tallinn is the European Capital of Culture and dancers across whole Estonia are engaged with dozens of larger and smaller endeavors from Dance Celebration to small contemporary dance projects.
Uppsar gives its share to all this. There are many ideas, but it’s a bit early to disclose all of them. We will surely attend for the first time the Dance Celebration, artistic director of which is Märt Agu. We are also searching for contacts with folk dance groups from other countries, to cooperate on a project, which should premiere in autumn.
It seems we have an exciting and adventurous year ahead, full of more than enough jovial dance!
